Some things are not negotiable.

In the wee hours of this morning the Moon was full in the late degrees of Sagittarius. The Gemini-Sagittarius polarity represents the negotiation of high ideals with relatable application. This full moon asks questions like ‘How do we make our dreams work in a world of trauma and suffering’? or ‘ How do we utilize relationships as a vehicle for growth and progress?’ Gemini is a master negotiator, a lover of listening almost as much as talking, and Gemini truly honors the spirit of communication and compromise. With a full moon in Sagittarius, the impulse to see and be seen is strong. However much we may love the idea of ideals, the Saturn-Pluto conjunction of 2019-2020 is being highlighted this week by Mercury and Mars, and we are forced to face the reality that some things are not negotiable. This is a week where words can hurt with unintended force, where unknown and ignored sensitivities will threaten foundations that have been built over time, and anything without strong roots and healthy soil will wither and flounder. Weeding is a must but over-pruning is a definite risk. The special awkwardness of this lunation cycle is that even though some things cannot be negotiated, it is likely we will only discover those things through painful discussion, compromising of ideals, and agreements to disagree.
